Stratton Mills is an employment agency who provides Care Staff around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Domiciliary Care Assistants.

Successful candidates will be offered full time shifts on a temp to perm basis.

Salary: £8.50/h

Hours: 36 hours/week

08:30 AM – 20:30 X3 shifts per week (one client)

Duties for the Domiciliary Care Assistant Role:

• To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centered approach.

• To observe and promote the Service Users choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfillment and other rights.

• To create and maintain good professional relationships with Service Users, their Family and Friends.

• To actively support other Care Assistants.

• To adhere to all regulatory/statutory obligations, policies, procedures and guidelines.

• To actively market Stratton Mills and promote a positive, personal and professional profile.

Ideal Domiciliary Care Assistant Candidate:

• Takes time to listen to the service user.

• Must be able to understand, remember and follow tasks, even whilst working under pressure.

• Have a kind and patient demeanor.

• Treats Service Users with dignity and respect that result in trust and cooperation.

• Sustain a nurturing environment.

• Understands and adheres to policies/regulations.

• Has the emotional strength to care for those who may be terminally ill, or suffering from post-traumatic experiences.

• Good observation skills to watch for and identify signs of change in a person’s well-being.

• Uses a diplomatic tone of voice and effective body language to engage in difficult and challenging situations with the service user.
