The Leigh Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an Administrator to join us in as soon as possible in a brand new position for our school. Our successful candidate will be pivotal to the smooth running of the school office – you’ll be the first point of contact for many members of the school and external stakeholders, and will be able to turn your hand to any admin-related task that is required.

Applicants should be professional, personable and committed to providing an excellent service on behalf of the school and wider Trust, and above all else our appointed candidate will have a positive work ethic and can-do attitude. This role is offered as a 12- 18 month apprenticeship contract and our successful candidate will work towards a nationally-recognized Level 2/3 Business Administration qualification.

Apprenticeship Summary

  • Annual wage: £10,000 per annum above the national minimum wage for apprentices
  • Working weeks: Monday – Friday throughout the full year (there is still plenty of work to do when the academy is closed to students)
  • Total hours per week: 37 (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship) – start and finish times to be agreed
  • Apprenticeship duration: 12-18 months
  • Anticipated start date: December 2018 / January 2019
  • Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 2/3)
  • Apprenticeship standard: Business & Administration
  • Positions: 1 available
  • Essential entry qualifications: 5 GCSEs A* – C, including Maths and English

Future prospects: This apprenticeship could be the start of a very promising career within the wider business and administration remit.

We endeavor to offer further employment following successful performance and completion of the Level 3 course with future opportunities to extend your training with a higher level apprenticeship programme. We offer in-house Continuing Professional Development and you’ll be part of a highly experienced and efficient office team – you’ll be learning from the very best!

You’ll receive training, support and guidance throughout the course from a variety of people at The Leigh Academy and from the wider Trust.
