Vanta Staffing Is Recruiting A Shift Manager Job For Fresh Food Distributor In Greenford, London

We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to lead, manage & motivate a team of food production professionals.

• Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern, mainly AM shifts (6am – 2pm)
• Flexibility needed as may cover 2pm – 10pm & Night shift (higher pay rate of £40k)

Duties of the successful Shift Manager will include:

• To contribute to the Health & Safety, Food Safety and Socio-Environmental values, and to help achieve the company wide objectives that are communicated on an on going basis
• Achieve all KPIs and annual goals set, including objectives
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure day to day running of the department to a high standard highlighting any problems to the Production Manager
• Responsible and accountable for stock control and investigations Ensure good communication with Supervisors and Managers
• Display a “can do” attitude
• Attention to detail is essential
• Comply with company and legal standards (safety, hygiene and environment)
• Ensure continuous operational improvement year on year.
• Rotating Shift Pattern, Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm (night may be required to suit the business at which poing you would revied night shift money)

Required experience & characteristics:

• Proven experience managing a team within a food manufacturing/food distribution business
• Able to work in a fast paces, ever changing environment
• Electrical engineering-based qualification
• Good communication capability
• Experience of working within manufacturing environments
• Highly focused on quality, safety and managing the working environment.
• Strong command of the English Language
• Enthusiastic, polite & professional character
